The Academic Center features a bright and welcoming atrium that serves as the heart of the building. Terraced seating and a cafe overlooking the river provide students with a place to gather and study, while the different floors offer a variety of learning environments. Each floor is organized into a “learning neighborhood” consisting of classrooms, faculty offices, and breakout areas.
The classrooms are optimized for different types of learning, including brainstorming, researching, making, and presenting. This allows students to work in the space that best suits their needs, and gain a deeper understanding of how they learn best. The result is a richer and more engaging learning experience for students.
The Academic Center at Baylor School serves as a beacon for innovation and collaboration. It provides a physical space that encourages students to think outside the box and work together to solve problems. By incorporating design thinking and project-based learning into their curriculum, Baylor School is preparing their students for success in the 21st century and beyond.
